First Week of Testimony Concludes in Tupac Shakur Murder Trial

Former LAPD Detective Daryn Dupree testified that Davis once denied involvement in the murder of Christopher Wallace by saying, "we did the other one," which Dupree understood as a reference to Shakur.

Suge Knight has said in prior interviews he does not intend to cooperate with prosecutors.

Dupree described Davis' claim that Sean "Diddy" Combs was supposed to provide money for Shakur's murder.

Police Interview Recording of Duane Davis Played in Tupac Shakur Murder Trial

Representatives for Sean Combs told CNN that Davis previously denied his claims and maintained he made them for fame and notoriety.

In the recorded interview, Davis stated that Terrence Brown drove the car, Davis sat in the front passenger seat, Deandre Smith was in the left rear passenger seat, and Orlando Anderson sat in the right rear passenger seat.

Davis' 2008 police interview was conducted as part of a proffer agreement related to drug charges.

Los Angeles police detectives originally interviewed Duane Davis in 2008 during their investigation into the killing of Christopher Wallace, also known as The Notorious B.I.G.

Duane 'Keffe D' Davis is on trial in Las Vegas, charged with one count of murder with a deadly weapon for the 1996 killing of Tupac Shakur.

Duane Davis co-authored a memoir published in 2019 titled 'Compton Street Legend.'

Davis, 63, has pleaded not guilty to one count of murder with use of a deadly weapon.

Former homicide detective Brent Becker testified that visiting gang investigators from Compton quickly identified Anderson from video of the MGM Grand fight, making him an early suspect.

Former Las Vegas police officer Garry Dale said he rode in the ambulance with Shakur and repeatedly asked who had shot him.
