Trump bans CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the White House
Trump has pursued legal action against several US and international news outlets, including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and the BBC.
In his first term, Trump banned CNN correspondent Jim Acosta from the White House, and credentials were restored after CNN sued.
Reporters from Politico and CNN were still on the White House grounds shortly after the announcement was made.
“If President Trump means to expel these news organizations from the White House press pool, his action is doubly unconstitutional because the press pool is a 'public forum' under the First Amendment, which means the president can't exclude journalists from it on the basis of their viewpoints,”
