Trump Saudi nuclear deal debate
Saudi Arabia has refused to sign the Abraham Accords unless Israel promises a clear, credible pathway toward Palestinian statehood.
President Donald Trump said the nuclear deal is subject to Saudi Arabia joining the Abraham Accords.
The Abraham Accords were first signed in 2020 and were bilateral agreements brokered by the U.S. to promote closer ties between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan.
“The difference is Iran is enriching to weapons’ level that it doesn’t need to do. Iran is burying it, which no other country in the world does, hundreds of feet underground, under hardened military infrastructure. Iran is trying to shield it with a conventional drone and missile shield. And Iran has stated if and when they get a nuclear weapon they will not only use it on Israel, but they will threaten the rest of the world to export the revolution.”
