Lawsuit accuses Trump of illegally profiting off foreign crypto deals

The lawsuit alleges that an Abu Dhabi-based investment fund chaired by Tahnoon purchased $2 billion in World Liberty's USD1 stablecoin to inflate the value of Trump's crypto holdings.

Matt Pelikan, an attorney at Evergreen Legal representing Greenberg, said President Trump made millions from the crypto deals and the lawsuit seeks to force Trump to return profits to American taxpayers.

World Liberty Financial spokesperson David Wachsman said the company is compliant with all U.S. laws and regulations and that no one at World Liberty Financial works for the U.S. Government.

“This is yet another frivolous lawsuit that echoes the same, tired narrative that Democrats have pushed against President Trump, his family, and his administration for a decade,”
