UK police charge Royal Navy member with working for foreign power
UK police arrested and charged a member of the Royal Navy accused of working with an unnamed foreign power.
Commander Helen Flanagan said these are very serious charges against a serving member of the armed forces.
UK media reported that the officer was arrested at his home in Bedfordshire on Tuesday before being taken into custody in London.
“We have worked extremely closely with relevant operational colleagues within the Ministry of Defence as our investigation has progressed to ensure appropriate measures could be taken to mitigate any potential risks linked to this matter,”
