Three paintings worth $10 million stolen from Renoir Museum in France

French newspaper Nice-Matin identified the four paintings taken as 'Portrait of Madame Colonna Romano,' 'Coco Lisant' and 'Young Girl at the Well,' and valued the stolen works at about $10.5 million.

The museum remained closed on Tuesday while police investigated.

Fox News reported that thieves dropped two of the four stolen paintings in the garden and escaped with two.

The Renoir Museum is home to 12 of Pierre-Auguste Renoir's artworks.

The Renoir Museum opened in 1960 and was Renoir's last home before his death in 1919.

Each of the stolen paintings is worth â¬9m ($10.4m).
