Russia charges Telegram founder Pavel Durov with aiding terrorism and seeks arrest
Durov was born and began his career in Russia and later moved abroad.
Soon after the charges were announced, Telegram's official account on X posted an image of Durov making an obscene gesture.
The FSB said 46 users of the chatbot, aged 12 to 22, have been detained across Russia since July 2025.
