OpenAI Terminates Contract with Cursor Citing Contract Violations
OpenAI announced it is terminating its contract with Cursor because it does not trust an Elon Musk-owned company to abide by its terms of service.
According to Cursor cofounder Michael Truell, OpenAI models account for roughly 5% of Cursor user traffic.
OpenAI stated that it plans to cut off Cursor's access to its models on November 12.
“We are making this choice because we cannot be confident that SpaceX will use our technology within our terms of service, based on our experience with Elon Musk's companies violating contracts.”
