NYC Midtown East buildings evacuated over buckling beams and possible collapse risk
Officials said the conversion of the 37-story commercial building into a residential building is one of the largest office-to-apartment conversion projects in city history.
Officials say the buckling caused the 21st to 26th floors of the 37-story building to start caving under the stress.
The Kennedy International School at 225 East 43rd Street was among the original evacuated buildings.
