Nikita Kucherov reportedly asks Lightning for trade
Kucherov is a two-time Hart Trophy winner and two-time Stanley Cup champion.
Lightning general manager Julien BriseBois and Kucherov's agent, Dan Milstein, declined to comment on the trade request.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported that Kucherov had informed the team and his teammates of his plans to sign elsewhere when his 8-year, $76 million deal ends after this season.
