Liam Payne associate cleared in star's death investigation; two others still under investigation
On July 3, judge Karina Andrade granted prosecutors permission to carry out forensic analysis on ten cellphones and a flash drive owned by Paiz and Pereyra.
Two defendants, Braian Nahuel Paiz and Ezequiel David Pereyra, are charged with selling cocaine to Payne and continue to await trial.
There have been negotiations for a plea deal that could reduce the charge against Paiz and Pereyra to supply of drugs for free, carrying a maximum sentence of six months.
