Lake Mead is the largest reservoir in the US and its water levels have been declining since 2000

The National Park Service said the incident remains under investigation and no additional information is available

Noel De Leon said the water looks very low compared to where it should be, and that as the water goes down, the skeletons come up

Human remains found again at Lake Mead as water levels drop

Las Vegas police said a non-criminal, dead body report was taken for the remains.

Jack Schmidt is the director of Utah State University's Center for Colorado River Studies.
