Karmelo Anthony seeks $250K for murder appeal amid questions over prior fundraiser
Karmelo Anthony, 19, was sentenced to 35 years in prison in June after a jury convicted him of murdering 17-year-old Austin Metcalf during a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas.
An earlier GiveSendGo campaign launched on Anthony's behalf in April 2025 raised $633,908 before it was removed from public view following his conviction.
Anthony remains in custody while the appeal moves forward.
