Information Minister Attaullah Tarar stated that Imran Khan was examined by a medical team and declared medically fit, and that the venue was switched to PIMS because of security concerns caused by PTI workers around Shifa.

Imran Khan's personal physician, Faisal Sultan, stated that he was sent to Shifa hospital, made to wait for nearly three hours, and never saw his patient that night.

PTI's information secretary, Sheikh Waqas Akram, announced that the party is preparing to file a contempt petition in the Supreme Court against the government.

“Declaring the PTI founder medically fit after a few hours of what appears to have been a merely symbolic exercise and then shifting him back to Adiala jail before dawn raises serious questions,”

Pakistan challenges court order to move Imran Khan to private hospital

The Supreme Court directed authorities to form a medical board of five specialists and to allow Khan's sister Uzma Khan and his personal physician Faisal Sultan to take part in his treatment.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhary told the Senate the government would implement the court order, saying Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had no authority to go against judicial decisions.

Akram said a review petition does not suspend Tuesday's court order and that Khan must be moved to hospital unless the court explicitly stays its own decision.

“Some are trying to take it with grace and enforce the Supreme Court decision in letter and spirit, while others see it as a huge threat.”
