Lee Cheuk-yan and Chow Hang-tung face a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
The Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China was also found guilty.
U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Riley Barnes stated that the United States condemns the guilty verdict.

Albert Ho, a third defendant in the case, pleaded guilty in January.
Lee Cheuk-yan and Chow Hang-tung were convicted of incitement to subversion under Hong Kong's national security law.
