Bob Iger honored with Main Street window at Disneyland
Iger said he stood there "with a deep sense of wonder and humility and appreciation and gratitude" for the opportunity to work for and run the company Walt Disney founded.
The Main Street, U.S.A. window tradition dates back to Disneyland's opening, with windows advertising fictional businesses named after real people who contributed to Disney.
D'Amaro recounted that Cast Members turned out in force to take a group photo with Iger before the gates opened at Disneyland's 70th anniversary celebration.
“it’s just so special to me to stand here, Town Square, Main Street, thinking about this place over 70 years ago, thinking about the millions and millions and millions of people that have come through, thinking about the thousands and thousands of cast members that have worked here and contributed mightily to what this is, and thinking about the legacy of the people who are represented in these windows, and realizing I’m now among them.”

“The reason why I feel that way is traveling around the world made me once again realize we truly are having more projects currently happening than at any single point in our history, and it isn’t just the volume — and we’re going to share this obviously with our fans this week — it’s the creativity. And what I always think about is our founder Walt’s quote when he said, ‘Disneyland will never be completed if there is enough imagination left in the world,’ and imagine me traveling all around the world, looking at each side, seeing everything starting to come to life.”

This is only the beginning of what’s possible when world-class storytellers bring their creativity into Fortnite,”
