Democrats Warren and Garcia eye banks with Jeffrey Epstein ties
The legislation would require financial regulators to produce records related to Epstein, compel investigations into banks and executives with ties to him, and require industry bans and civil penalties for those found to have aided him.
The proposal would apply to the Federal Reserve, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Treasury's Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
