Deadly Legionnaires' disease outbreak in major US city
NYC Health Commissioner Dr. Alister Martin said Legionnaires' disease is deadly but can be effectively treated if diagnosed early.
New York City health officials are urging anyone who has visited the east side of Central Park or Manhattan's Upper East Side since late June to watch for symptoms of Legionnaires' disease.
As of July 6, 17 people have been hospitalized due to the Legionnaires' disease outbreak.
