Brewer stated in an email that fraternities are an accelerator for success in college and beyond.

“Any fraternity man who commits or is complicit in sexual assault should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. The men involved in the incident at Cornell were immediately expelled from the fraternity and the chapter was disbanded. We will continue to call for necessary personal accountability when members neglect their fraternal obligations.”
